Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association

MARGMA was established on 28th June 1989 to represent the rubber glove manufacturers and supporting industries associated with the rubber glove manufacturing industry in Malaysia.

MARGMA Ordinary Members comprise bona fide rubber glove manufacturers based in Malaysia. MARGMA Associate Members comprise of local and foreign companies associated with the ecosystem of the rubber glove industry. Since its inception, MARGMA has been the official voice and active advocate for the rubber glove industry in Malaysia.

MARGMA provides a common platform for discussion and exchange of views aimed at furthering the commercial objectives of its members and promoting a solid trade fraternity among them. MARGMA collaborates closely with key Malaysian government agencies and related ASEAN trade associations to promote and protect the interests of its members and the industry. MARGMA also assists its members in addressing domestic and international issues related to their businesses and the industry.

MARGMA is administered by a panel of elected Management Committee members with the support of a strong Secretariat in its day-to-day operations.

About IRGCE

The International Rubber Glove Conference & Exhibition (IRGCE), held every two years, is a MUST-VISIT event for professionals in the medical care, oral dental, food handling, laboratories, chemical handling and many other industries.


The late Dr Tan Ah Seng was tasked with organizing the first International Rubber Glove Conference and Exhibition (IRGCE) which was held in 2002. With the aim of bridging the gap among industry players and fortifying a greater exchange of ideas, the International Rubber Glove Conference and Exhibition (IRGCE) was inaugurated in 2002. The event is recognized as the premier platform for all relevant parties to come and work together hand in glove.


IRGCE has since grown healthily over the past 20 years with strong support from MARGMA members and the global rubber glove industry. The IRGCE will continue to expand and serve its mission to serve the global rubber glove industry for many decades to come.

Malaysia Reaffirmed Global Leadership in Rubber Gloves at the 11th IRGCE 2024

Malaysia reaffirmed its position as the world leader in the rubber glove industry at the 11th International Rubber Glove Conference and Exhibition (IRGCE) 2024, with 174 Malaysian companies participating. The event also featured exhibitors from China, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, India, Indonesia, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and other countries.

The 11th IRGCE 2024 successfully sold all 553 exhibition booths, fully utilizing 9,710 square meters across five halls at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). The event welcomed over 12,000 international and domestic participants and attendees, marking another milestone in the industry’s global engagement and innovation.
